Italian born Alessandro Oliviero started producing house records years ago. Next to his own productions, mostly under the alias Mono Deluxe, he produced artists like Barbara Tucker (Masters at Work), Michell Weeks (Warner Bros, UK), Michael Watford (Azuli Records), Mr. Mike (Peppermint Jam) or the great New Yorican disco diva Fonda Rae (Warner Bros, UK). He worked with George Morel (Groove On Records, NYC) and Wave Records, remixed artists like Barry Steward (Incognito) and appeared on several compilations like Rio Lounge (Sony), Acid Jazz Vol. 76 (with Herbie Hancock) or LTJ Bukem's Earth 6.

Always working out new sounds and tunes he got more and more involved in the nu-jazz scene. He released a couple of CDs on his own label, Mono Deluxe Records and soon got contact with Perfect Toy Records´ head Marcus Hacker. This EP highlights the beginning of their cooperation and hopefully brings more of that jazzy breakbeat stuff in the near future...;
